News: LBA gains new flights to Malta, Guernsey

Leeds Bradford Airport was celebrating today after two holiday specialists announced they are to launch new flight routes.

 

Maltese holiday specialist Malta Bargains have announced that they are to operate a new Sunday flight to the popular Mediterranean island from LBA this summer. This will complement the existing Tuesday service with Airtours, Sunspot, Bellair and Holiday Malta.

 

Lancaster-based Omega Holidays are also expanding their operations from Leeds Bradford with a new Saturday flight to the Channel Island of Guernsey.  The company are initially offering two departure dates, May 21and 28, for a seven night duration. If the flight proves to be as popular as expected, it will extend departures thorough the summer. Prices start from £489.95 per person with a range of hotels to choose from.

 

At the launch of the new routes, Sally Ramsey, Marketing and Business Development Manager at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “These new flights come at a time of exciting growth at Leeds Bradford. As the range of direct flights and destinations grows to a total of 47 this spring, there has never been as much choice for our passengers.”
