News: Flybe begin flights from Liverpool John Lennon

Low fare airline Flybe. today launched its first flight from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Belfast City Airport, marking the start of the company's roll-out of six new UK flight destinations from Liverpool. The airline's operations aim to see 350,000 passengers fly with Flybe from Liverpool John Lennon Airport over the next year. The company plans to add five further UK routes from Liverpool including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Exeter, Jersey and Southampton between now and June.

Flybe. has been counting down to the launch of the new flight routes with nightly projections onto prominent Liverpool landmarks including the Royal Liver Building and the Mersey Tunnel building over the past five days.

"The start of the new route from Liverpool to Belfast is just the beginning of our commitment to Merseyside, offering passengers a choice of low cost routes and the freedom to travel direct to UK destinations."
