From April 2005, bmibaby will be offering over 300 flights every month between the two countries, with the addition of flights from its newest base at Birmingham International. The airline's North East base at Durham Tees Valley will also be getting flights to Cork in April, following an announcement earlier in the year.
David Bryon, bmibaby's managing director, commented:
"From April bmibaby will have the most comprehensive network of flights between the UK and Cork, offering almost 50,000 seats every month. Ireland has always been one of our key markets, and we've established a loyal customer base on both sides of the Irish Sea. This latest expansion is further testimony to our commitment to offering flights to Ireland, and to Cork in particular. 2005 is a big year for Cork, and the expansion of bmibaby's award winning low cost service to the European City of Culture means that it's easier and cheaper than ever before to get there."
