Bournemouth Airport is gearing itself up for its busiest summer ever – thanks to the arrival of Thomsonfly.com
On 22nd March Thomsonfly.com will be starting flights to Majorca, Malaga, Valencia, Faro, Pisa, Paris and Amsterdam.
With prices starting at just £17.99 one way (inclusive of all taxes and charges), to date more than 115,000 seats have been sold.
In order to accommodate these extra passengers, the terminal building has undergone some major modifications which will greatly improve the facilities for those departing from, and arriving at, the airport.
- The ‘land side’ part of the terminal now consists of 12 check-in desks, the bureau de change, WH Smith’s, an O’Brien’s Sandwich Bar and a seating area.
- The ‘air side’ facilities for departing passengers now consist of the Food Village, a Bar des Voyageurs with views over the airfield; an improved duty free/tax free shop; additional toilet facilities, and comfortable seating for 700 passengers.
- Arriving passengers will also see the benefits of these modifications. The immigration hall has been increased in size and a third baggage carousel has been installed in the arrivals hall.
- Those meeting passengers off flights will now have a dedicated ‘arrivals lounge’.
