Virgin Atlantic has announced that it will be increasing its services from the UK to Las Vegas by 50 per cent.
The announcement comes as Las Vegas prepares to celebrate its centenary this May.
The airline will be adding a fifth weekly service from 4 July 2005, and a sixth weekly service from 9 September 2005.
It currently offers four weekly services from Gatwick departing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sunday. The new services will run on Mondays and Fridays.
Sir Richard Branson, who made the announcement, said: "We are delighted to announce that from September Virgin Atlantic will e adding around 50,000 extra seats per year to Las Vegas. Virgin Atlantic was the first airline to offer direct scheduled services to this exciting destination in 2000 and since then we have carried nearly half a million passengers to the destination."
Virgin Atlantic has also announced that its Upper Class Suite will now be available on all flights to Las Vegas, providing a bed as well as a private onboard bar for Upper Class passengers.
"So if any passengers strike it lucky in the gambling capital, they can upgrade to upper Class Suite on the way home!" Mr Branson said.
