News: MPs don't want your vote
Flights > News > # 368 (09/04/2005)
Two of the leading elected officials who have been campaigning against the return of passenger flights from Coventry airport have been curiously silent on the issue as the election campaign starts its first week. Following on from last week's celebration of one year of Thomsonfly's operation at Coventry airport, Flightmapping attempted to contact sitting MPs James Plaskitt and Andy King, to see if they would like to wish Thomsonfly a happy birthday. Earlier this week, as the General Election was finally called, Flightmapping gave both incumbents the opportunity to explain why people who were not against flights from Coventry should bother to give them their vote.
So far, both have steadfastly refused to comment.
