Thomson have announced more flights from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.
Long haul holiday flights to the Caribbean, Florida and Mexico are soon to go on sale from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield for the Summer 2006 season. The new long-haul routes will be bookable from Thursday, 28 April, when the Summer 2006 holiday brochures are launched.
The additional routes, commencing May 2006, form part of an increased Thomson Summer programme from the airport, which will see its first flights leave next week. This has come on the strength of sales from the Airport for this year and more may follow.
The new long haul destinations announced today mean the airport will have on offer a total of thirty-three destinations across 20 different countries.
David Ryall, Robin Hood Airport's Managing Director said:
"We are thrilled to be able to deliver the long haul flights that we always said we would bring to the regions the airport serves. It is a first for Yorkshire and brings us that one step closer to being 'the airport of choice' for passengers East of the Pennines".
Miles Morgan, Thomson Marketing director, said:
"As we approach launch day for the airport, we know this will be welcome news for lots of people in the area . The Caribbean, Mexico and Florida are our best selling long-haul destinations, mainly because the dollar exchange range means they are such good value at moment. On top of that they have excellent beaches and a wide range of hotels and attractions. Even though next summer seems like a long way off, there is a high demand from people in the Yorkshire area for long-haul destinations as well as places such as Croatia and Bulgaria, so we are expecting a busy week when the holidays go on sale."
