News: Easyjet adds five new summer sun routes

easyJet has announced it will be adding five new summer sun destinations to its network:

  1. FARO from Belfast commences 16th July
  2. IBIZA from Newcastle commences 23rd July
  3. IBIZA from Liverpool commences 24th July
  4. MAHON (Menorca) from Gatwick 21st July
  5. MAHON (Menorca) from Bristol 23rd July

Faro, the gateway to Algarve is a popular holiday destination for sun seekers, golfers, and second home owners thanks to its great beaches, picturesque coastline, marinas and plentiful tourist facilities. easyJet currently operates flights to Faro from Bristol, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Nottingham East Midlands. Now consumers in Northern Ireland have the opportunity to explore this destination from their local airport.

Ibiza, the legendary white island, also known as the Islas Pitiusas (Island of Pine Trees) is renowned for its world famous club scene and diverse collection of bars. Ibiza is not just a party island, as she also offers quaint villages, striking scenery, historical and cultural sights that attract all kind of holidaymakers, particularly families. With Ibiza currently served by Easyjet flights from Stansted and Gatwick, and Thomsonfly from Coventry, the new routes from Newcastle and Liverpool are expected to attract leisure travellers from all over the North of England.

Mahon is a completely new destination in the easyJet network, and the routes are expected to make Menorca accessible to independent holidaymakers who want to explore this beautiful and relaxing island. Menorca is the most tranquil of the Balearic Islands, with its preserved environmental areas, untouched beaches, coves, ravines and unique archaeological sites. It is ideal for the more adventurous or for those just wanting to unwind in the sun.

These five new routes will take the total number of easyJet routes on offer to 210, from 63 airports throughout Europe. These new flights will operate during the peak summer months from mid July to early September.
