British Airways plans to fly up to 85 per cent of its scheduled shorthaul services and 80 per cent of longhaul services from London Heathrow on Sunday August 14. This mirrors the flying programme operated on Saturday.
Flights operating to and from London Gatwick and those of British Airways CitiExpress are operating as normal. The airline aims to have the Heathrow shorthaul operation back to normal by Tuesday, August 16. The longhaul operation is expected to take a little longer, due to the complex logistics in re-building the schedule. The provisional Sunday schedule, with expected departure times, will be available on the airline’s website, ba.com from 2100hrs this evening. Only customers with confirmed reservations for flights should travel to the airport. As flights may still be subject to last minute changes, customers are advised to check ba.com before leaving for the airport for the latest information. Customers can also contact the airline on 0800 727 800.
Flights will continue to have limited catering provisions onboard due to the ongoing industrial dispute at the catering supplier, Gate Gourmet.
