News: New BMI flights from Edinburgh to Munich

BMI regional have announced new daily flights from Edinburgh to Munich, to start from 26th March 2006.

This brings to four the number of German cities which are served by direct flights from Edinburgh. Lufthansa have offered flights to Frankfurt for a number of years, whereas no frills airlines Germanwings and HLX express have started flights to Cologne Bonn and Hamburg respectively this year.

BMI regional offer flights to various destinations within the UK and Europe, and are a subsidiary of BMI (British Midland). The airline offers a "full service" range of flights, using regional jet aircraft. Additional BMI regional flights from Edinburgh are available to destinations such as Stornoway, Brussels, Leeds and Manchester. BMI also offer regular shuttle flights from Edinburgh to London (Heathrow), whereas bmibaby provide budget flights from Edinburgh to their hubs at Birmingham, Cardiff and Nottingham East Midlands.
