News: Thomson cancels Egypt flights

Thomson have cancelled their flights from Doncaster to Sharm El Sheik, following July's terrorist atrocities in the resort.

The tour operator will now offer 22 flights to Egypt per week instead of its previously planned 27. Flights from Birmingham to Taba and Marsa Alam, from Manchester to Marsa Alam, and from Luton to Hurghada have also been cancelled.

    Thomson seems to be adopting a cautious approach to its flights to Egypt, although even at this reduced level, there is still a substantial increase from last year.
