News: Air Southwest plan major expansion

Regional airline air southwest have announced major expansion plans for next year, including the launch of flights to and from Cardiff. On April 10th, the airline will:
- Launch daily return flights from Newquay Airport to Cardiff.
- Launch daily return flights from Cardiff to Manchester.
- Launch a daily flight from Bristol to Norwich.
- Increase its Bristol to Leeds Bradford flight from two to three flights a day.
- Launch non-stop direct flights from Newquay to Leeds Bradford (the airline currently offers flights from Newquay to Leeds via Bristol).
- Upgrade its flights from Newquay to Manchester to a twice daily rotation.
The airline will also further cement its presence at Bristol airport by basing a new Dash 8 - 300 aircraft there.
Malcolm Naylor, chief executive of Air Southwest, said:
“Today’s announcements represents a significant expansion of our route network and brings our established formula of low fares and quality flight to a range of new markets while enhancing flights on many of our existing routes.”
