Aer Arran now operate cheap flights to Lorient from 5 airports in the UK and Ireland |
Irish regional airline Aer Arann has announced that it will begin operating new flights from London Luton to Lorient in South Brittany, France on 26th March 2006. The service will operate six days per week and will be operated by an ATR72 aircraft. The flight will depart London Luton at 9.00am and Lorient at 3.15 pm.
This is the airline's fourth service from London Luton Airport. The airline currently operates over 56 flights per week to and from London Luton to Waterford and Galway, and recently announced that it will begin operating flights to the Isle of Man service on 24th November 2005.
Commenting on the announcement Micheal O’Callarain, marketing manager for Aer Arann said
“We are delighted to be adding Lorient to our network of flights from London Luton. Brittany is an extremely popular French destination for UK passengers and Lorient is very well located as a touring base for this area. Rennes, St Malo, Nantes, Mont St Michel and Brest are just some of the major centres within a comfortable two-hour drive of the airport. We believe there is considerable untapped demand from North London to the regions of Brittany and look forward to working with London Luton Airport to develop the service.”
This new route marks the first direct scheduled flights from the UK to Lorient. Aer Arran already offer flights to Lorient from three cities in the republic of Ireland.
