News: Eastern Airways add Newcastle to London flights

Travellers from the North East will be able to benefit from Eastern Airways’ new air service linking Newcastle with the heart of London, offering the shortest journey times from the region to the capital.
From 30th January 2006, four flights will operate each weekday from Newcastle to London City Airport, which is located in the Docklands, just 6 miles from the City of London. The first flight from Newcastle will leave at 7:05 am. Passengers will arrive in London after a flight of just 1hr 25 minutes. Next month, London City Airport will be connected to the London Transport system by the Dockland’s Light Railway allowing easy access to eastern and central London.

“Our new service is fantastic news for the North East as it provides the fastest journey to the heart of London, saving valuable time for travellers.”
Many businesses in the North East have links with London, particularly from the finance, pharmaceutical, automotive, management consulting, international trading and construction industries.
