News: Birmingham Airport Stike Postponed

A planned strike which threatened the operation of flights from Birmingham on Monday 28th November 2005 has been called off. Following lengthy talks between Birmingham Airport, ACAS and the trade union, Amicus, the planned 12 hour strike for Monday 28th November 2005, has been averted. Further talks will take place on Monday. The airport was unable to provide any further details can be given at this stage.

If the dispute is not resolved, the other threatened strike dates are:

  1. Thursday 8th December
  2. Saturday 10th December
  3. Monday 12th December
  4. Monday 19th December
  5. Saturday 24th December
  6. Monday 26th December
  7. Saturday 31st December and
  8. Friday 6th January 2006.
