News: Cathay launch Manchester to Hong Kong flights

Hong Kong based airline Cathay Pacific have announced plans to operate three-times-weekly flights from Manchester to Hong Kong. The route, which will be operated by Cathay as part of a code-sharing arrangement with Russian airline Aeroflot, will operate bia Moscow.
Hong Kong is the third city in East Asia to benefit from direct (same plane) flights from Manchester. Singapore Airlines operate flights from Manchester to Singapore, with Malaysia Airlines also operating a route to Kuala Lumpur from Manchester. Cathay Pacific already operate flights from London Heathrow to Hong Kong, a route on which frequency has recently increased to four services per day.
