News: New cheap flights to Amsterdam from Glasgow

Dutch budget airline Transavia have announced new cheap flights to Amsterdam from Glasgow 's Prestwick airport.

The new service, which will operate six times each week (not on Saturdays), will start on 26th March 2006. Passengers travelling through Prestwick will be able to take advantage of free rail travel to and from the airport during the first 6 months of the route's operation. After this period, passengers can benefit from a 50% reduction on rail fares to all First Scotrail destinations.

The airline, which is part of the Air France / KLM group, already operates flights from London Stansted to Rotterdam , having previously operated between the Essex hub and Amsterdam .

We're proud to offer low fares and convenient flight times, but hope those travelling with us will also enjoy our friendly in-flight service and our newly-designed livery which we launched this month and will feature on flights to and from Glasgow Prestwick from the first flight."
