News: Brest foot forward for Ryanair

Flights > News > # 670 (21/12/2005)

Ryanair have re-instated their flights between London and the city of Brest in Western Brittany, France .

Ryanair previously operated flights from London Stansted to Brest , following the takeover of rival airline Buzz. The route was axed after the Summer 2004 season, with airline citing poor passenger loads as the main reason for cancellation.

Since Ryanair pulled away from this route, Flybe have started cheap flights to Brest from Birmingham , Southampton and Exeter .

Restarting this route from Luton gives Ryanair slightly closer proximity to the “Golden Triangle” target market of wealthy home counties such as Hertfordshire, Buckinhgamshire and Oxfordshire.
