News: Easyjet Announce new flights from Liverpool

Easyjet have announced the addition of 14 new routes across its European network, together with plans to convert three of its bases to solely Airbus operations. The new routes include new sunshine flights from Liverpool to Faro in Portugal, Mahon (Menorca) and the southern French city of Marseille. Additionally, the airline will launch flights from Liverpool to the Polish city of Krakow. As part of this new development, the airline has launched three new destinations from Lisbon, including London Luton, and additionally added new routes from Geneva, Malaga and Milan Malpensa.
This spring, easyJet will take delivery of nine brand new Airbus A319s, taking the total number of aircraft in its fleet to 116 by the summer. This new capacity will be used to introduce new routes from a variety of bases across Europe, with the airline's UK hubs at Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow converting to Airbus operations.
The new routes reflect the airline's commitment to expand from its bases by using the 'join the dots' approach, connecting popular currently-served cities to ensure passengers have easy access to the most attractive destinations. In particular, the Easyjet has noted the potential for growth in the North West of England and Italy in 2006.
The addition of the new routes will increase the total number operated to 247, with more new routes planned for later in the year.
