News: Iberia launch flights to La Coruna

Spanish national airline Iberia are launching flights from London to La Coruna, replacing existing services to the nearby city of Santiago de Compostela, to which budget rival Ryanair also offer flights.
This new route will see the first direct flights to La Coruna from outside the Iberian peninsula. Other connecting flights are already available via either Madrid or Barcelona, but both involve an element of doubling back. Budget airlines such as Easyjet are also rumoured to be interested in offering flights to La Coruna, although no routes have been confirmed as yet.
The changes will take place from 1 February 2006.
