Flybe has announced the launch of its new base at Newquay Airport with the introduction of the first no-frills flights to Edinburgh in the airport’s history.
The flights, which start on May 27, will bring to an end the need to take a lengthy train, bus or car journey to the Scottish capital. Flybe’s chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, said the airline has big plans for the South West, adding: “Whilst many of our competitors are route cutting and retrenching back to London, Flybe is expanding in the regions and is committed to bringing flights to your door.”
