  • Comment:

Flybe's first step into Germany is a natural move, considering that the airline has already developed an extensive user base of business and leisure customers on its French and UK domestic routes who are also likely to want to travel to Germany regularly. Apart from Ryanair's usage of remote airfields (Frankfurt Hahn, Altenburg) no-frills airlines operating outside London have so far tended to concentrate on flights into Berlin and Cologne for new German route development, leaving traditional business destinations like Düsseldorf and Hanover to the likes of BA Connect and Lufthansa.
