Ryanair is expanding its European operations at Dublin Airport over the winter period. Ryanair will base three new aircraft in Dublin Airport and start flights on 12 new routes from Dublin.
Destinations include the Spanish cities Almeria, Madrid, Seville and Vitoria, Pula in Croatia, Billund in Denmark, Tampere in Finland, Grenoble in France, Friedrichshafen in Germany, Bologna in Italy, Oslo (Torp) in Norway and Rzeszow in Poland.
Ryanair’s chief executive, Michael O’Leary, said: “Today’s twelve new routes will end Aer Lingus’ high fare monopoly to destinations such as Madrid, Bologna, Almeria and Seville. Irish passengers who previously had no alternative to Aer Lingus on these routes will now have a low fare, on-time option with Ryanair.
“Irish passengers will also enjoy Ryanair’s low fares to new European destinations such as Norway, Denmark, Finland and Eastern Poland which are not currently served by Aer Lingus.”
