Cork airport’s stunning new €100 million passenger terminal has opened. The new building features a light and airy split-level terminal facility, a wide range of shops and a large food hall. All access roads to the airport have also been upgraded from single to dual carriageway as part of the project.
Cork airport’s chief executive, Pat Keohane, said the development of the new terminal has been hugely important for the continued growth of travel to the southeast Ireland. “With three million passengers due to pass through the Airport by the end of 2006, the greater Munster region needs and deserves a new terminal designed and equipped for 21st century travel”, said Mr Keohane.
