Glasgow Airport is to have its first scheduled service to Barbados and Las Vegas as fast-growing budget airline Flyglobespan announces another major expansion of its winter sun programme from its main Scottish hub.
Flyglobespan is to fly weekly from Glasgow to Barbados from January 21 and twice a week to Las Vegas from February 2. The Scottish budget specialists already offer a daily service between Glasgow and Orlando, and start daily flights from Glasgow to Boston next May. They will also offer flights to Cape Town and Toronto from Manchester in November, and launch a daily route between Liverpool and New York (Newark) next year.
Flyglobespan chairman, Tom Dalrymple, said: “The Caribbean is an ideal winter sun destination and I am sure Scottish holidaymakers will appreciate the fact that they can now fly directly there from Glasgow every Sunday. Las Vegas is everything you have heard about it - and more.”
