News: New Brussels flights from Aberdeen

BMI is launching flights from Aberdeen to Brussels this spring thanks to subsidies from the Scottish Executive’s Route Development Fund
The Scottish transport minister, Tavish Scott, said the new route would open up opportunities for businesses in northeast Scotland.
Mr Scott said: “Brussels is one of the most important cities in Europe. It is the focal point of European Union business and this announcement is another step forward in our aim of increasing the number of direct air services between Scotland and the rest of the world.
The daily service takes off April 16, and will be operated on 37-seater Embraer 135 aircraft.
