Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) are set to launch the first flights from the UK to Aalesund in western Norway this summer.
SAS will offer twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays) flights from London Gatwick to Aalesund from June 1.
SAS’ UK and Ireland general manager, Lars-Ove Filipson, said: "We now have a substantial offering from London to Scandinavia and our growth in services from other London airports is testament to the increasing demand we have seen from our growing passenger base.
"This new service from Gatwick will complement our existing Norwegian services to Bergen and provide travellers with a quick and easy way to get to the breathtaking Fjords."
