News: Wizz Air move Polish route launches forward

Wizz Air is launching its new routes from the UK to Katowice and Warsaw early.
The Central European budget airline claims better than expected ticket sales triggered the decision to start flightsa week early to Katowice from London Stansted, Belfast International and Coventry. Wizz Air’s services from Durham Tees Valley and Belfast International to Warsaw will also take off a week early.
A Wizz Air spokesman said: “Due to high customer demand, Wizz Air has decided to bring forward the launch of some of its flights.
“New routes to Warsaw and Katowice will now start more than one week earlier than planned.”
The Katowice flights from Stansted and Belfast will now start on May 28, the Coventry to Katowice and Durham to Warsaw flights will start on July 20, and the Belfast to Warsaw service takes off on July 21.
Wizz Air has also announced plans to launch flights from Bournemouth to Katowice on July 14 and Doncaster to Gdansk on July 15.
