Ryanair has announced two new routes from East Midlands Airport this winter, to Budapest and Riga.
The new Budapest flights take off on October 31, and will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Riga service starts on October 30 and will run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Ryanair already operate an extensive network of European flights from East Midlands, and are looking to expand into the rapidly emerging Eastern European market.
The no-frills giant’s chief executive, Michael O'Leary, said: "These new routes will connect East Midlands to two of Eastern Europe's most exciting cities and mark the start of flights to Ryanair's 132nd airport, Budapest."
