Flights > News > # 1297 (04/06/2007)

Ryanair is launching eight new routes from Shannon in western Ireland this winter.
Daily flights from Shannon to Birmingham and London Luton, and a twice-daily service to Dublin will take off on November 7. On November 8 the budget airline will start thrice-weekly flights from Shannon to Leeds Bradford and a twice-weekly service to the Latvian capital, Riga. November 9 sees the launch of twice-weekly flights to the Lithuanian city of Kaunas, and on November 10 weekly flights from Shannon to Fuertaventura and Tenerife North will get underway.
Ryanair is also increasing the frequency of its Edinburgh (to daily) and Manchester (to six weekly) services from November. In order to accommodate the new routes, the Irish airline will shelve its flights from Shannon to Bournemouth, Lodz and Rome, while Biarritz, Carcassonne, Milan, Murcia, Nantes and Venice will operate on a summer only basis (April – October).
