Ryanair is launching the first scheduled flights from Liverpool to Sweden this winter.
The budget giant will operate four flights a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) from Liverpool to Stockholm’s Skavsta airport from October 31. Flights will take off from Liverpool at 8.20pm, arriving at 11.40pm local time.
Skavsta is 60 miles south of Stockholm. The coach into central Stockholm costs around £10 each way and takes just under an hour and a half.
Although there are currently no other airlines offering flights from Liverpool to Sweden, SAS Scandinavian Airlines do operate flights from nearby Manchester to Stockholm Arlanda airport, which is much closer to the Swedish capital than Skavsta. Arlanda has regular train (£14 each way) and coach (£7 each way) services into Stockholm. The train takes 20 minutes, whilst the coach trip is around 40 minutes.
