News: Easyjet drops Rome flights from Belfast this winter

Easyjet is scrapping its flights from Belfast to Rome over the winter period.
A spokesman for the no-frills airline said: "As airlines often change their schedules to meet seasonal demand, Easyjet will not offer a Rome schedule this winter.
"Instead we will use the capacity on both our Geneva and our new Krakow route, on which there is more demand during the winter months."
The Rome service was launched in July 2005 and along with the Geneva and Berlin routes, it received start-up assistance from the government's Route Development Fund.
The Geneva service was cut back to a winter-only operation this year, but Berlin is still a year-round service.
A spokesman for Belfast International said they were hopeful that the Rome service would resume next summer.
