News: Tickets go on sale for first Eurostar services from St Pancras

Tickets for the first Eurostar services from St Pancras International went on sale this morning (July 24).
Unprecedented demand is expected from eager customers keen to take to the Continent from the Eurostar’s stunning new London home. St Pancras, a Victorian masterpiece built in the 1860s, has undergone a breathtaking restoration. The first services will run from the new international terminus on the morning of November 14.
The new Channel Tunnel Rail Link will finally bring genuine high-speed train travel to the UK – 186 mph to be precise. The journey time between London and Paris will be cut down from 2 hours 45 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes, with services between London and Brussels slashed from 2 hours 30 mins to under two hours.
Tickets can now be bought too for the final trains from Waterloo International, the original London terminal since Eurostar services began in 1994. Eurostar services to and from Waterloo International will end on November 13.
Following hot on the heels of the new services from St Pancras will the opening of Ebbsfleet International, a new station situated just off junction 2 of the M25 in north Kent. Ebbsfleet will open on November 19, offering seven trains a day to Paris and five to Brussels.
