News: Leeds Bradford officially launches coach link to York

A coach service that runs between York and Leeds Bradford Airport has been officially launched by the Lord Mayor of York.
The Aircoach, run by First, began operating at the end of February, but was not officially inaugurated until Friday (July 20).The service has carried more than 9,000 people to and from the airport since its launch.
The Aircoach runs from York railway station to the airport every hour between 4.45am and 9pm, and every hour from 7.40am to midnight in the other direction. A single ticket costs £12 (£10 if booked online), and a return is £17 (£15 if booked online).
Leeds Bradford is served by a host of airlines including BMI, Jet2, Ryanair and First Choice.
