News: New Aer Lingus Dublin flights from Gatwick this autumn

Aer Lingus is launching flights from London Gatwick to Dublin this autumn.
The Irish national airline will be competing directly against bitter rivals Ryanair for the first time in a decade. British Airways also operate flights on the Gatwick to Dublin route.
Aer Lingus has been the subject of a hostile takeover bid by Ryanair in recent months, but the European Union has blocked the move over fears it would lead to a lack of competition in Ireland.
Aer Lingus will offer four flights a day between Gatwick and Dublin compared to Ryanair’s six flights. BA also operate four flights a day on this route. The new Aer Lingus flights take off on October 28.
