News: No more hidden charges on Easyjet website
Flights > News > # 1398 (31/07/2007)
Easyjet is the first major no-frills airline to list all taxes and charges from the first page of its website.
Airlines have been ordered to include all additional charges in headline fares by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) following increasing concern that passengers are being misled by low-priced offers that end up costing significantly more
The worst offenders are the budget airlines, and the OFT has threatened legal action unless companies include all costs in headline prices by today (July 31). A spokesman for EasyJet said that it has only ever separated out local airport charges and air passenger duty on its online bookings.
