Etihad Airways has announced plans to increase the number of flights it offers from Dublin to Abu Dhabi.
The fast growing Abu Dhabi-based carrier says it will add two extra weekly services from December 13, increasing the airline’s schedule to six flights a week between Dublin and Abu Dhabi. Etihad also offers regular flights to Abu Dhabi from London Heathrow and Manchester.
There are currently no other airlines operating flights from Dublin to Abu Dhabi, with Aer Lingus serving nearby Dubai instead. Dubai is situated about 70 miles northeast of Abi Dhabi, although it should be noted that driving in the UAE is not for the faint hearted – the Gulf state has one of the highest accident rates per capita in the world.
