News: Ryanair gets tough over Charleroi wildcat strikes

Ryanair has threatened to scrap its flights to and from Brussels Charleroi unless it receives assurances that there will be no more strike action at the airport.
The no-frills airline has already suspended bookings on all its Charleroi flights from November 12 amid fears that there could be further wildcat strikes. The airport had to close over the weekend of June 15-17 because of a strike by security staff, forcing the cancellation of flights affecting more than 22,500 Ryanair passengers.
Charleroi airport bosses said that any outstanding problems will be addressed and are hopeful that Ryanair’s flights can be put back on sale shortly. Ryanair’s flights to/from Charleroi in August, September and October will not be affected by this action.
