News: Ryanair drops Charleroi flights suspension threat

Ryanair has dropped its threat to suspend flights from Brussels Charleroi airport.
Earlier this week Ryanair said it would suspend all flights from Charleroi from November 12 unless it was guaranteed that there would be no more wildcat strikes. The airport had to close over the weekend of June 15-17 because of a strike by security staff, forcing the cancellation of flights affecting more than 22,500 Ryanair passengers.
A Ryanair statement said: "Ryanair had a positive meeting with Brussels Charleroi this afternoon at which a number of proposals were discussed and agreed, which should resolve the outstanding issues.
"The airport has agreed to confirm these proposals in writing over the weekend, and if this happens, then Ryanair expects to have all seats back on sale from next Monday.”
