Eastern Airways is starting flights between London Stansted and Manchester at the end of next month.
The UK regional airline will take over from Air Berlin on the route, but will increase frequency to three flights each weekday from October 29. The new schedule will include an early morning flight (7.15am) from Manchester aimed at business passengers.
Eastern Airways operated on the route for three years until 2006, but withdrew when Air Berlin started services.
Eastern Airways' chief operating officer, Chris Holliday, said: "We are not only ensuring a continuation of this important link, but are providing an enhanced schedule with greater flexibility for business and leisure travellers.”
