Wizz Air is launching its second route to Poland from Coventry next spring.
The no-frills airline will operate three flights a week to Gdansk from March 15, complementing the Katowice service which was launched from Coventry in July. Wizz Air will use a 180-seat Airbus A320 on the route.
Coventry Airport managing director, Chris Orphanou, said: “Existing Wizz Air services between Katowice and Coventry have been extremely successful and we are delighted that the airline is complementing its existing services with the introduction of new flights to the important Polish commercial centre of Gdansk.
“Coventry airport offers the quality of service that is sought by the low cost carriers – expedient passenger departures, fast aircraft turn-around times and equally quick passenger arrivals – less than 15mins from aircraft seat to terminal exit.”
