Wizz Air is moving its flights to the Romanian region of Transylvania from Tirgu Mures airport to Cluj-Napoca International.
The move is being introduced with immediate effect, so the new Transylvania flights being launched from London Luton on November 13 will head to Cluj instead of Tirgu Mures.
Wizz Air started flying from Tirgu Mures in July 2006, but the airport's inability to provide safe operating conditions in severe weather has resulted in a string of delays and forced cancellations.
Wizz Air chief executive, József Váradi, said: Cluj will better serve us delivering this commitment to our customers wanting to fly from and to Transylvania. We remain committed to developing a substantial low cost air network for the Transylvanian region.
