News: Eastern Airways takes over Manchester to Stansted flights

Eastern Airways replaced Air Berlin on the Manchester to Stansted route today (October 29).
Eastern Airways will operate up to 15 flights a week between Manchester and Stansted, and has revamped the route's timetable to include an early morning departure from Manchester aimed at the business market.
The airline’s chief operating officer, Chris Holliday, said: "We’ve stepped in to rescue this important route, which will significantly benefit companies in the north of England that have business links in the counties around Stansted.
"We’re providing an early 7.15am Manchester departure for business commuters, along with the convenience of an enhanced business schedule allowing for greater day trip flexibility."
Flights leave from Manchester at 7.15am, 2.20pm and 5.50pm, landing at Stansted Airport at 8.10am, 3.15pm and 6.45pm. In the opposite direction flights take off from Stansted at 8.45am, 4pm and 7.20pm, landing in Manchester at 9.50am, 5.05pm and 8.25pm.
