Flybe has defended one of its most popular type of aircraft following a third safety scare.
Flybe has said it has "complete confidence" in its 33 Bombardier Q400 turboprop planes despite Scandinavian airline SAS permanently grounding its fleet because of faulty landing gear.
SAS took the drastic measure after one of its Q400 aircraft was forced to carry out a crash landing at Copehnhagen airport with 44 passengers on board.
There have been two other incidents involving Q400 planes crash landing because of the same problem with landing gear in Denmark and Lithuania in as many months.
The latest safety fears comes after members of Flybe air crew last week refused to fly on some of the airline's BAE 146 planes due to possible engine oil contamination of the air inside the cabin.
On a flight from Southampton to Belfast two stewardesses collapsed after being overcome by fumes and all seven crew members were taken to hospital after landing.
