Silverjet has won two prestigious awards - Best Airline 2007, in the Sunday Times Travel Magazine Experts Awards 2007 and the Best Executive Transport category, in Esquire’s 2007 Man At The Top Awards.
The British premium-class airline is celebrating a bumper first year, having also picked up the Best Business Class Airline and the first Design and Innovation Award for Aviation from Condé Nast Traveller magazine.
Voted by travel journalists and experts across the industry, Silverjet saw off competition from Virgin Atlantic, Jet and First Choice to take the honours of Best Airline 2007 in the Sunday Times Travel Magazine Experts Awards. Judges were impressed with Silverjet’s ethos of service above price, with 30 minute check-in times, 6 ft 3 in flat beds, dedicated security and private terminals as standard, and fares priced from just £1099 return.
Winning the Best Executive Transport category at the Esquire 2007 Man at The Top Awards, Silverjet triumphed over Audi A8, Zip Car, Eurostar and Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy. Once again, judges heaped praise on the unique proposition and high service standards.
Silverjet chief executive, Lawrence Hunt, said: “We’re delighted to have won these two awards – both a fantastic endorsement of our product offering. With Silverjet's innovations ranging from 30 minute check-in and chauffeur services, to our award winning beds, we’re returning every aspect of air travel to the glory days of airlines.”
