Thomsonfly is scrapping five routes from Bournemouth Airport next summer because of lack of demand.
The budget airline is axing flights from Bournemouth to Alicante, Pisa, Salzburg, Tenerife and Valencia.
It is not all bad news though, Thomsonfly has announced that it will operate flights from Bournemouth to the Turkish resort of Dalaman and Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete during the Summer 2008 holiday season.
A Thomsonfly spokesman said: "We still have seven routes from summer 2008.
"Usually if they reduce anything it's to do with customer demand, so if there's any reason flights are not turning out to be very popular, that's what they take into consideration."
"Thomson remains committed to operating from Bournemouth Airport next summer, and will continue to fly to seven popular destinations from the airport, serving the needs of its many customers who enjoy the convenience of a local airport.
"Any customers affected by this decision will be notified individually."
