News: Oman Air flights to Muscat take off

Oman Air has launched a new service from London Gatwick to Muscat this week.
The Omani national carrier will operate daily flights to Muscat from Gatwick’s North Terminal.
A spokesman for the Omani Tourist Office UK said: "A national carrier flying into the UK will increase consumer awareness of the destination and add to the variety of routes on offer via our neighbour states.”
Oman Air will face competition on the route from Bahrain-based Gulf Air and British Airways. Gulf Air currently operate daily flights to Muscat from Heathrow, with British Airways offering a weekly service every Sunday, also from Heathrow.
