New flights will be launched to the Polish capital Warsaw from Doncaster Sheffield next spring.
Budget airline Wizz Air will start three flights a week to Warsaw from Doncaster. The new flights take off on April 1.
This route will become the carrier’s fifth Polish route from Doncaster after Katowice and Gdansk as well as Poznan and Wroclaw. The later two will be launched in January and February 2008 respectively. There are currently no other airlines offering flights from Doncaster to Warsaw.
Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport managing director, David Ryall, said: “Warsaw is an important business capital, and businesses from across the region will benefit from the introduction of this key European city route. Warsaw is a hugely popular tourist destination too, and we are pleased to be working with Wizz Air to meet the demand for low cost travel to Poland.”
