News: Ryanair blame technical issues for inclusive pricing failure
Flights > News > # 1704 (27/02/2008)
Ryanair has failed to comply with the Office of Fair Trading's pricing rules, despite promising to make the necessary changes to its website at the weekend.
The airline took the unprecedented step of closing its website over the weekend in order to carry out work on increasing the capacity of its reservation system,
The shutdown was also supposed to have seen the website revamped to meet regulations set by the Office of Fair Trading, which said the airline had not met its deadline of the end of January to be more transparent over its advertised fares.
But today Ryanair blamed technical problems for its failure to comply. A spokesman for the airline apologised to customers for the technical glitches, but refused to comment on its failure to change its pricing policy.
