No-frills airline Ryanair is launching 17 new routes from Edinburgh.
The Irish carrier will start flights to Alicante, Berlin Schonefeld, Billund, Bournemouth, Bremen, Bratislava, Dusseldorf Weeze, Frankfurt Hahn, Krakow, Lodz, Malaga, Marseille, Palma (Majorca), Pisa, Poznan, Stockholm Skavsta and Wroclaw from the Scottish capital later this year.
David Johnston, managing director of Edinburgh Airport, said: "Edinburgh's first ever direct route to the German capital and our first ever route to Slovakia (Bratislava) are particularly exciting and significant additions to Edinburgh's route network and we expect them to prove popular with inbound and outbound passengers.
"Developing Scotland's direct connectivity with the world has been a key priority over recent years and we have invested £95m in bringing in new routes.
"This hard work is paying off and, with over 100 routes now served, we are proud that Edinburgh has a destinations network fit for a world-class capital city."
Ryanair already operates flights to Dublin and Shannon from Edinburgh.
